Video Content Manager

JOB PURPOSE:

 

To manage and develop Etisalat TV one stop shop which includes Video (SVOD, TVOD), TV channels (Premium/FTA) and IPTV services as digital transformation of the Video inside Etisalat Misr to compete with the big OTT players (i.e: Netflix, OSN, Wavo, Bein, Shahid,…etc) in the TV & infotainment market by setting strategic elements to ensure achieving desired set targets in term of revenue and brand awareness.

 

In his new role, he will be responsible E2E on managing the team who will help the organization to:

  • Develop Partnership covering all aspects E2E and insuring it will cover both traditional & digital tracks
  • Handle content strategy as well as enhancing it to insure the flexibility to
  • Accommodate the traditional and new digital direction.
  • Manage E2E product develop from acquisition, proposition creation, as well as customer engagement along his life cycle to maximize the revenue per customer.
  • Setting Strong deals with big players/ digital platforms  in the market to achieve one stop shop TV entertainment hub

Partnership Development

  • E2E partnership management with all TV/Video CPs in terms of Development, Retention & Contract Renewals.
  • Direct agreement with celebrities/CP & production houses to enrich content portfolio and create differentiation and exclusivity in the market.
  • Strategic Acquisition of potential key content aggregators, production houses i.e (Disney, HBO, Stars play, Fox,…etc) & content providers and work on Arabic, local & international content acquisitions
  • Decide on relevant new business models to enhance revenue KPIs and service perception to insure win-win situation between partner and Etisalat to ensure profitability.

Content strategy

  • Designing and Implementing a clear top level Video Entertainment Content Strategy
  • Develop business models with multi-media & Video, IPTV content partners that guards Etisalat profitability & margins
  • Digitizing the Video content portfolio & orchestrating the integration & collaboration with key digital content partners.
  • Create unique and exclusive content on both traditional and digital channels to maximize the customer engagement.

Product Development

  • Designing Video/IPTV Products Yearly calendar ( with continues maintenance and updates) that achieves the content yearly budget & secure proper portfolio base penetration
  • Manage the communication plan & event calendars of TV products to build an effective musical brand for both traditional and newly digital platform.
  • Creating E2E exclusive Celebrity/ Blockbusters Platforms in line with Etisalat Corporate Brand Strategy
  • Creating new digitally original vids, content streaming and download digital TV/IPTV platforms.
  • Increase revenue from digital new releases through on going promotions, enhance communication and base development activities
  • Develop ATL & BTL campaigns and activations for the new digital TV show, Movies Blockbuster releases via offering wide range on SVOD, TVOD content in addition to top viewed Premium & FTA live channels
  • Offer Etisalat TV along with set top box to act as one key player for triple/quad play sales with EBU team to boost sales penetrating for Etisalat TV inside compound capitalizing on triple play license & solution
  • Segmenting product preference  to tap on customers need and secure service journey based on users behaviors & preferences

Increasing the revenue generated from TV & Video service 

  • Manage all relevant stakeholders to achieve the company targets on Music ( Both customers & revenue )
  • Set yearly calendar plans (to be reviewed on the go) for both traditional & digital platforms to achieve targets.
  • Accountable for cost optimization by rationalizing different business models and leveraging major partners across vas services
  • Exploiting new technologies to offer innovative leading propositions that will boost revenues.

Marketing Product Development 

  • Lead entire E2E customer lifecycle for different products traditional & digital to insure its competitiveness in the market.
  • Manage the communication plan & event calendars of musical products to build an effective musical brand for both traditional and digital platform.
  • Creating E2E exclusive TV digital Platforms in line with Etisalat Corporate Brand Strategy
  • Creating new digitally Video/IPTV streaming platforms.
  • Extracting more value from the base through the introduction of innovative offerings and seasonal promotions for both traditional & digital tracks 
  • Develop ATL & BTL campaigns and activations for the new album digital releases.
  • Segmenting product preference to tap on customers need and secure service journey.

Content Management

Team management / development

  • Build a strongly performing team through selection for new calibers , and motivation as well as  support to ensure meeting company’s objective
  • Setting guidelines and performance indicators to identify area progression
  • Ongoing coaching “one on one” meetings for feedback and development
  • Advice / Set / Agree on training plans
  • Ensure full redundancy across the team by enforcing shadowing and delegation

Analytics & Operation handling

  • Financial projections based on internal and external market factors and target control
  • Accountable for collection and operations across all product line
  • Prepare analysis based on the data provided from the customer insight team to be presented  quarterly review to Etisalat top management including KPI’s, market landscape, acquisition strategy

 

KEY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

 

Knowledge:

  • Excellent Understanding of telecom operators and VAS in specific
  • Excellent Understanding of content, Video/music, IPTV and digital applications

Education:

  • BS in business is a must
  • Master’s degree in business administration, marketing, digital is a plus

Prior Work Experience:

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in marketing Telecommunication, digital platforms or content services business.

Language Proficiency:

  • Fluency in both spoken & written English & Arabic language is required.

  • Strong communication, negotiation & interpersonal skills
  • Strong vendor management, due diligence, partnerships skills
  • Strong problem solving skills

Planning Ahead:

  • Plan 1 year ahead all KPI’s and projects with subjectivity to review/update each quarter based on the market needs and dynamic changes.
  • Ability to organize and interpret available data to extract valuable insights
  • strong analytical skills that tell a compelling story
  • Meticulous attention to details, capable to translate complex technical analyses into clear insights providing recommendations and guidance to technical and non-technical audience.
